Ahh yes...the game that made me a Dolphins fan.

Up until the end of that game, I was a (gulp) diehard Redskins fan. I watched the game with my dad and a cousin. Both of them were pulling for Miami. They talked the whole game about how good Miami was, what a great "team" they were, and what a great coach Shula was. And, how my Redskins were all old and "over the hill." When the game concluded, I was so mad I swore my allegiance to Miami and threw away everything I had with Redskins on it. Hey, I was just a kid, whaddya want? :wink2: Anyway, the rest as they say is history.

Now that I think about it, this will be the first time I'll be able to watch the game and enjoy it! :lol:

Also coming up...1981 SD MIA playoff classic...April 13 @ 4:30pm. I'll never forget watching that one. For those that haven't seen the whole game, pay attention to the end of the first half!

 

I have no idea who that lovely lady is. If I wanted to take a crazy wild guess I would say she is a cheerleader doing a USO event in Korea. I base that guess on the few hints found in the photo. :shifty:

I remember it quite well, it was on my 6th birthday, or my mom had the party that day I can't remember which, football field B-day cake complete with Dolphins and Redskins players. My Dad was a diehard Redskins fan and so were most of his buddies at our house to watch the game. To this day, sadly, the best birthday EVER!

Just creating a new post in a thread to bring the thread to the top of the list (so more people will see it again) so it won't be buried by new threads. I don't know if that's a good explanation but I can't really think of a better way to describe it.

 

After watching this last night the No Name Defense had to be the most intelligent and disciplined defense in the history of the game, the Redskins never really did threatened to score in that game.
