As a DE? Heck Cam Wake can do that and he wasn't the 6th overall pick..

I wonder if by being "Better prepared" he has extra padding in the Buttoxe region.

That way riding the pines won't hurt so bad. :shifty:

Gholston will get 7 sacks next year at least. He'll be much bigger contributor, though not necessarily what you want from the #6 pick.

    7 sacks!!!

Think he had no more than seven tackles last season, so what makes you think he will have 7 sacks? The Rex Ryan factor?

Really? Wow! Pssh!.. maybe 7 sacks of donuts or something. That is the only way he's going to be a much "bigger" contributor. ;):D

Rex Ryan will put him in a position to succeed, he will be on a mission to prove he isn't a bust, and he will have a year of experience under his belt.

I'll be willing to bet Wake will have more sacks for us that Gholston will have for the Jets.

Driving an ice cream truck down the sidelines?

No, I think he'll at least be on the field. I don't really see 7 sacks though.

I would be ecstatic if he made 4 sacks. No doubt, Ryan will have him in a better position to succeed than Mangini did. Also, Rex said that he is making Gholston his own project. If Gholston can't play better with Ryan as his coach, he has no hope in this league. I don't think he will be great this year, but I do feel he will make noticeable improvements!

He can't be more ill prepared than last year so anything would be an improvement.
