Its been quiet. Not much going on for the investigation.

Has anyone here been to the official Ghost Hunters forums on scifi.com? It is almost unbearable to read because of all the people that don't believe anything they get. Why watch the show if you don't believe any of it.

 

These guys have an honest track record and I don't think they would intentionally fake anything. Plus batteries do tend to drain if an entity is around drawing energy. Maybe someone else tricked them but I don't think they did it. Although their little jokes the last couple of weeks sarcastically saying their show is reality is starting to give me a tiny bit of doubt or maybe I am reading too much into it.

 

I've started watching this but the majority of it so far is very quiet.

Can anyone tell me the points where something of interest, if anything happened during this show. 7 hours is a lot to try and fast forward through to find something.

On a side note them inviting this "The Miz" idiot was a mistake.
What a tool that guy is.

 

Watched some it. The whole thing seems kinda staged.

 

You apparently haven't watched a lot of the show and I'm not exactly sure what could have been staged except maybe the voice. With the way TAPS runs things and all the episodes I've watched where nothing happens, it seems that they are credible. Logically if you were faking things wouldn't you have something every episode?

My only question is that the show is changing more towards Jay and Grant. I can't recall this whole season someone besides them experiencing paranormal activity, it all has centered around them. Plus add in the jokes they have been making about the show being reality and you have some room to doubt them. When I say them I think that maybe SCI FI is making them possibly stage stuff to keep the show interesting. Overall I give this about a 5% possibility and I still choose to defend the show as in my first paragraph but they are making me wonder.

I agree. I think they're the most credible show in their genre. I hated how that one guy (bar owner) asked them to come out and investigate when the "haunted" bar. It was rigged up with monster masks behind special mirrors, voice recorders playing "spooky" noises.

However, after watching that dungeon scene and hearing that "voice..." It's obvious it was manufactured to create interesting live TV. Simply, there is a 0% chance that was real.

 

Well I'll admit I don't really watch the show but Ive seen plenty of clips and there are things like wow thats pretty solid evidence then at times its like ummm that looks fake.

Most of the footage consists of Doors opening and closing, objects moving slightly, blurry figures moving across the screen, voices. Now I wont say all of it is staged but alot of what they do could be faked.

 

Well this isn't one of those things that you can just open a door and go look a ghost and capture it. It's lucky the stuff they do catch because sure some people may see something and it's crystal clear. Though what are the chances you got a camera ready for it.

Sure anything could be fake but if they always gave a crystal clear view of something then it would be fake because that is a very rare thing. Most of the time its caught out of the corner of your eye.

Although I still say they need to wear a head cam also so we see what they see.

 

Well don't you think they do that on purpose? I mean they always try to have a alternate explanation of what happened. I don't I'm very skeptical of the show. I haven't really seen solid evidence.

 

It's possible not saying its not it is tv afterall. Though this is the closest show I have seen that doesn't seem fake or a bunch of psych b.s of saying there is something in the room and we are to believe it.

As someone who watches the show all the time they have caught stuff that could not have been faked at all. Such as thermal images, K2 meters reacting in time with their questions, toys going off when they ask them, etc. Also the voice in the Live show seems credible as it has happened before but also it seems a little less credible because a year or so ago when they did their Live show they also caught a loud voice. However I choose to believe the voice was real because they haven't tried to deceive anyone before, but like I said earlier the show is going in a less credible direction. Maybe I am just looking too much into it but it would really disappoint me if they start faking things.

I think believing what happens in the show goes off personal experiences, if you have ever had an unexplained paranormal experience you tend to buy into what they are saying more because it syncs up with what you have experienced. Trust me a lot of the things they say (and have caught) happens when a spirit is around has paralleled to my own experiences. This is a debate that could last forever and is totally up to personal experience.

The one thing I would like to know is what In Flames thinks about my assumption that the show is going in a less credible direction. Do you agree or disagree with me? I'm a torn on the issue and I know you are a huge fan of the show and this field so I would like to hear your thoughts. :up:

 

Thats the thing I have never had anything like that happen to me so I'm a little more skeptical.

 

ahh ya that does make a difference. Much like sking I have had my experiences and its not something you can explain or ever forget. I believe there is a lot more to this world than meets the eye. To many unexplainable things happen with me for me to ignore it.

 

I'm the same way I keep in open mind but I have to remain skeptical because the idea of a ghost ****ing with you scares the **** out of me.

I mean I saw a clip where (Grant I think?) Is sleeping and the ****ing thing removes his covers off his feet. Or the other guy laying down and the closet door is open and he is watching it and all the sudden it closes. I would have got my happy *** out of there F THAT!

Yeah like Bruzer said personal experiences are really the only things that can make you a true believer and I have had several encounters at two different places but that's a whole other thread. :D

 

Sorry somehow missed my name in your post lol. In regards to credibility I don't believe the show has changed that much or loss any at all, if anything they have more/newer technology in field at their disposal now which gives more credence to their efforts in finding paranormal activity. I put much faith in the findings of Jason and Grant, especially when compared to some of these other groups out here nowadays.

I agree with what you said but with only Jay and Grant experiencing things now I am a little worried.
