Free safety Gibril Wilson was similarly relieved of his starting job, and rookie Chris Clemons shared snaps with the veteran most of the game.

Wilson responded with two sacks of New York quarterback Mark Sanchez.

I dont mean to post this as a negative. Wilson had his best game as a Fin and I hope a fire was lit under his ***, but Clemons did not play bad at all. I think he might have had one negative play, but the kid is a flyer and he seems to hit hard. Here to hoping Clemons is something special and Gibril has more games like he did today.

Yeah maybe it is best to rotate them like we did today and keep them fresh for the game. They both played really well and contributed their fair share today. Wilson and Ginn both should hold their heads high because they proved they can play under pressure. I am also proud of Clemons and he is proving to be a draft steal,good player our team has there.

The future of our secondary is looking really bright. Smith should have had a pick six for 98 yards. Davis is a LB playing corner, I love this kid and Clemons is flyer looks like the predator out there.

Moving on. Did you notice the Dolphins started three rookies in the secondary Sunday?

They started rookie cornerback Sean Smith, rookie cornerback Vontae Davis and rookie free safety Chris Clemons along with vetern strong safety Yeremiah Bell.

"It caused me a little bit of a sleepless week," Sparano admitted afterward. "I do have a lot of confidence in thse players. I thought they got it really hard out there today, I really do. That's a good group. Braylon Edwards gives this team a different dimension in my opinion and I thought those [rookies] hung in there. They just kept fighting. They hung in there pretty good."

Well, it was a good job that could have been better had Smith hung on to an interception at the goal line in the first half.
