i have a gmail account that i pretty much never use. i logged onto it today and i see these google calendar reminders. in these reminders are things like when a couple of bills are due, when i took a trip to vermont, when my friends engagement party was and some other stuff. i have no idea how this stuff got entered in i dont see any option to email google and ask them how they got this information what is going on here? how did they know?
how on earth did they know the name of my friends and the date and time of their engagement party. i never entered that into anything in my PC that i can think of
and google gives the gubmint anything they want.. but that doesn't matter if you aren't doing anything wrong.. right?
google searches your emails as they come in. Ever look at the ads on top of the screen in gmail? They are always related to the content of a recent email or a recent google search. Also, if there is something in an email that looks like an event, it'll say on the side something to the effect of "would you like to add this to your calendar?" things like that. it's kinda scary what they've developed there
