Surprised no one went after Ray Horton, he did pretty good with ARZ, especially all things considered.

 

He was a guy I had in mind but me and Sebo decided on Spagnuolo as first choice.

 

I was looking at Kris Richard to possibly be my DC, but Walton had a lot more experience. And since this is now a passing league, I felt that I needed to bring in a DB coach with a decent background to come be my DC with Zimmer at HC.

Really excited about my coaching staff. Philbin brings what I'm looking for offensive scheme-wise and as a HC with a young team and I love Thurman and Sullivan as my coordinators.

 

Damn, was hoping Todd would go for Bowles and round out last years Fins staff.

 

Ofcourse it is, hes a rookie who cant even figure out how to bid on something as simple as coaches...hes the target and we all know it.

Not to mention he is just plain dumb.

 

I tell you, it's just something about the Bills makes you go dumb. Last year, I suffered from such mental slowness after I took them over. Explains why their fans are always drooling on themselves.

 

Must say, GIK, you are doing a great job running this league. Keep it up. Also, give me your first overall pick for the compliment.

Head coach with a pre determined role and absolutely zero play calling wii be allowed. Mcdaniels is very capable of dealing with the offense. The role of Sparano will be to motivate this team and that's about it. Josh Mcdaniels will have 100% offensive control. This team won't be settling for field goals.

I don't want to create any drama, but I'm a wee bit frustrated with this game at the moment. Two issues:

1. I really would have liked to know that you simply could delay the decision on your coaching staff for as long as you pleased. I realize their was no explicit deadline given but from the wording, I was under the assumption that you had to make one before the whole sweepstakes thing started. If I had known I could just fire them whenever convenient (Stephen Ross for the win!), I would have never fired my staff to begin with.

2. I really would have liked to bid on McCoy as OC but refrained from doing so because he was already at max bid when I logged in. I don't blame GiK for not realizing that the Bears couldn't afford McCoy at max, but, to me, things like this really tend to mess with me having, well, fun.

 

Why are you creating drama?

 

Don't worry about. The coaching thing means nothing and was only implemented to pass time from when we were given our teams until the league actually starts.
Hell, I have Gunther Cunningham as my DC.

 

Heh. The thing is, I don't really mind my current staff, not at all. It's just that I would have played it completely differently, and that tends to leave a somewhat bitter taste, if that makes sense.

 

take what you learn here and don't make the same mistakes in the player FA.

Besides as a rookie you're still learning how the GM League goes, the coaching thing has only been around for a couple seasons now and it's not perfect with assumptions and what deadlines implicate. Like its been mentioned earlier coaching won't have a real impact on things, otherwise some of us wouldn't hire specific coaches.
