Manhattan, NY (GML-AP) The rumors have been making the rounds throughout the league in the last few days as the New York Jets collected the additional picks needed to compensate the Houston Texans and Chicago Bears for both Arian Foster and Matt Forte respectively. Many question how it would be possible to sign both running backs to contracts but sources in the Jets head offices indicated a good amount of cap space being made available in the next two weeks. The Texans are believed to want to match an offer for Foster but may be unable to match the expected 13 million. Meanwhile Chicago is looking at other options at running back with Forte expected to be offered 11 million from the Jets. Both players have tweeted their excitement at the prospect of joining a team that has been to the AFC Championship in two of the past three years. Matt Forte via twitter @realmforte: "Looks like I'll be flying on J-E-T-S next season, much love Chi-town." Arian Foster via twitter @therealarianfoster: "New York! New York!" Ryan Schisno will announce a press conference in the next two weeks when both teams will fail to match the Jets offers. "What can I say, neither team thinks of their star players like we do. I mean Foster for a first and third round pick? I've been saying it all along... STEAL. Not to mention the Bears would even leave Matt Forte open to be signed away, especially with these silly new franchise tags they've come up with this season." Schsno said as he prepared to board a JET to next weeks combine.
In related news, The Bills will be acquiring both Aaron Rodgers AND Andrew Luck b/c we believe, too, that there's no.such.thing as overkill.
Hey we have jerseys to sell ok. In related news Buffalo still bats 0% in Superbowls and will remain so until their permanent move to Toronto.
Congratulations? A 1st & a 3rd is a good deal, especially since FA is dry and 1st round drafted running backs rarely produce. Sorry, Schis. You took on the Jets.... and as a Bill, I'm still a rival.
And in other news, the Jets can only win a SuperBowl when their QB wears a dress. So 2012 might be promising after all.
Eagles GM SICK released a statement on his twitter account when asked by a fan about the JETS ridiculous press conference, he said:
@ryan_schisno: @toddsBillsGM, you really need a crash course. Let me show you how a dirty Sanchez plays
