BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO in the nicest way. Go New York Knickerboxers : / Nah just kidding, I dont root for any team, just players. CP3 FOR MVP
I hate the lakers but gotta give them some credit, after getting rid of that team of nothing but superstars a couple years ago, they have built a pretty good foundation of new blood mixed with some old..t
Pshoooo Haters.. wait till we get Gasol and Bynum back...listen..listen..do you hear that? that is the sound of a trophy case being opened and another CHAMPIONSHIP trophy being placed inside .
What if we are deaf? Not saying I am but what if we are. How do we hear it? And if you say see ... what if we are unfortunately blind?
Beats me. Phil's doing his version of Belichick with the injury report. Supposedly Sunday but now that might be moved back. I hope Newble gets some time on the court because with Ariza likely out into the playoffs, we'll need a good SF defender. We're a good team now, but Bynum brings a lot on the defensive end, especially if it's against Phoenix (though we've handled them pretty well without him).
Lakers clinch the PAsific on Friday Night and Probably stake their claim for the #1 seed out West with their drubbing of the Spurs today. Houston is losing badly in Denver. Meaning if the Lakers beat the Kings on Tuesday, they clinch the top seed out west. Not bad for a team most "experts" had missing the playoffs or barely sneaking in.
Well, most "experts" didn't believe in Andrew Bynum becoming a force to be reckoned with in the paint. And almost everyone was surprised Kupchak had the balls to rip not one but two teams off (Orlando and Memphis).
True but as it stands, Bynum will have missed more games than he played, Ariza has been out just as long and Pau has missed 11 games since coming over in February. Which means this team is sitting atop the conference using players like Kobe, D-Fish, Vlad Rad (who had his own health issues) Luke Walton, Sasha Vujacic, Lamar Odom and Ronny Turiaf. Pretty much all mainstays from last years team with the exception of Fisher. Outstanding team effort all season, the coaching staff has been great and Kobe has shown why he is the best player in the league. Kobe should have the MVP sown up after Tuesday in Sacramento.
Its not looking good for Bynum ...LA times reporting Knee still unstable and he has some pain..I dont think Bynum is the type to play through it.
The one thing they mentioned during todays game that i found most impressive was the fact that the Lakers have been in the playoffs 55 of the 60 years in their existence. Pretty impressive IMO
Indeed. I only hope that'll be enough to give Bryant the MVP over Chris Paul and Jeff Van Gundy's wet dream for CP3. Seriously, really annoying sometimes. I think he could play but the team is being cautious. We still have a good shot at Finals and it'd be better in the long run to have him return healthier the next season, provided we keep our nucleus intact/improved.
A well deserved spot at the top. Despite having so many injuries to key players, they're still tops in the West. Just gotta get this young crew ready for the playoffs. This is where Kobe and Fish earn their checks.
Jazz up by 17 with 6 minutes left, looks like Utah is coming to LA.GO LAKERS!!!!!!!!!!! Btw Hawks Celtics
If everyone stays healthy, I can believe a sweep. We have a great record against them with and without Pau. They may be underrated but people are underrating the Lakers too especially those that thought the Nuggets series would go to 5 or 6. And you know Derek Fisher will be more amped for this series than he was against Nuggets.
fisher wont be that pumped they let him go nicely, its not like he has revenge on his mind....suns had a great record against the spurs too.....i say utah in 6
So far, Lakers 1, Utah 0. Lakers were toying with them and let their guard down. Don't forget the Utah crowd booed him very harshly. Utah in 6? You mean 6 Utah TO's against Fisher. I say Lakers in 4.
