Ok he made his first td im on the band wagon
It was sure great to see him catch that TD.
great catch. he has more tds than bess and camarillo hahaha
He blocks well too. He manhandled his man on one of the WC plays with Ricky taking the snap. He obviously gets open and knows how to catch.
We may have a football player on our hands
does he block well? i didnt even know he was playing till he caught the TD
He looks like he has great hands to me. Haynos didn't do too bad today either though, but I think Sperry has something we need. A quicker TE to make some room for Bess and Camarillo.
Wow he is instantly the best TE on our team.
I too was impressed by Sperry he made some good plays.
Is he a rook?
they just keep turning over the bottom & looking under rocks
the system require time, diligence & some occasional good luck
maybe he's a keeper. we'll only know by playing him
He used his hands very well on that catch. Didn't let it get into his face/body. Pretty impressive catch.
I like him as a prospect.
The new Jed Weaver
i absolutely love how our FO turns the bottom of our roster over......this could be a big find.
The new version of David Martin. The WR at TE.
Always good to see CSU players making a contribution. Above is a thread from when he was signed as a free agent.
Agreed. Hopefully he shows that he can be a starter for us so we can address the Receiver spot unless we get Boldin then I want McClain or Spikes.
he should have run out of bounds when we were about out of time.........
First thing that came to mind, "We found our David Martin"
Considering we signed him yesterday I think he did well enough.
Sperry is from CSU (Colorado State University). My dads Alma Mater. Makes me like him even more. Nice to see guys come out of some of these smaller colleges!
Funny you say that. To me the big key today was when Freeman ran out of bounds at the 1:35 mark. If he would have stayed in bounds there is no way we win the game. It was a first down play that stopped the clock and saved us time. He had a nice run with a mistake.
Earned the starting TE spot, IMO.
That's not only how bad the position has been, but how impressive Sperry was yesterday. He blocked exceptionally well, too.
In one game looks like a better red zone target than pretty much everybody Henne has been throwing to. Like to see him get more chances on thursday, a lot more. He earned them.....
The coach got all over his azz after that play.. I had been screaming at him for going out but ended up laughing watching his body language as he was dressed down.
We knew Saturday afternoon he was playing.. we saw his jersey hanging up in the locker room.
Exactly, he reminded me of D-Mart as well
He gives us that tall target we have been needing...and Henne seems to like him.
I would like to see more than just one decent game out of him.
Sure, more than one game but he's light years ahead of Fasano who seems to have caught Ginnitus.
Maybe they've finally figured out a way to get Camarillo into the end zone?
I like the way he catches the ball with his hands unlike Fasano
Now if he has any bit of speed maybe Henne will have a solid intermediate target.
Camarillo getting into the end zone was the play that kept the dolphins from going 0-16 in 2007.
I'm as impressed by the fact that he didn't even flinch with Camarillo hanging off of him like a 4 year old. Guy looks solid all around.
As an aside I still have high hopes for Haynos as well.
