http://www.footballbyfootball.com/column/chill-ryan-tannehill-is-the-starting-qb-for-the-miami-dolphins The adjustment Tannehill has had to make this season is more significant than anyone who has not been in a football (much less an NFL) huddle can understand. He now has to speak a different language. The play-calls may look the same, but they're communicated in a different fashion. The rhythm, timing and philosophy of the off-season is vastly different than what the Dolphins were running in 2012-2013. It takes time for a new offense to marinate and become second nature. Once a quarterback has an offense down, it frees him to play without thinking. An offseason and three games into a season is not enough time for any quarterback to have a system engrained in his mind. And all of this only takes into account the adjustments that a quarterback has to make, not the ten other positions on offense.
