In case you haven't heard, Google began rolling out it's Facebook competitor this week. And it just can't wait to share, share, share!
I haven't messed with it, but this report doesn't make me any more inclined to. Aside from the fact that I don't need yet another one of these things.
There's plenty more, including the stalker-friendly "exact location in each post", which is apparently is one of the few features not enabled by default.

yeah it's kinda google's MO to steal your privacy, but i think you know this.
i'm definitely not going to get one.. -
What are you doing. Talking on thephins.com.
Six hours later. Talking on thephins.com.jetssuck, Ludacris, unluckyluciano and 1 other person like this. -
"Don't be evil," eh?
Fortunately, you can disable this stuff in your Google Profile. If you haven't set up a Google Profile, or your Profile is hidden, you're in the clear. Probably. Maybe. -
I dont think they're being malicious people. They're just trying to give that information overload crap people act like they want so bad.
xer0 and TrueDolFan like this. -
whatever, just because many of my google searches are similar does NOT mean I want suggestions for pr0n sites scrolling across the top of my gmail....
... but that has nothing to do with Buzz.. -
But all this information can be easily obtained (and used against you) by people who ARE malicious. -
i love how much people complain about all of the FREE stuff google gives... It's not like anyone is paying for this crap LOL

To add onto what Mor has already written, many features that Google offers are in response to what people have asked for... whether its directly or indirectly requested (meaning they're responding to the market). Many features, such as ones that are location based, can be turned on or off.
Personally, I have nothing to hide. People that want to find me will ultimately find me. People that want to know what I'm up to will ultimately find out. It the freakin internet and one should understand that it's all connected. Personally, I think it's beautiful.
I love what Google is doing. They build products or develop services that have made my life easier and more integrated.
For those that say, "Well, it could be used maliciously!" Well, no crap. Anything, taken to an extreme, could be used maliciously. Your cell phone logs could be used maliciously! Your credit card transactions could be used maliciously! Religion could be used maliciously! I think you get the point.
The good thing is that Google makes things almost completely customizable. So, if you don't like it... either don't signup for it or signup and turn off particular features.
Oh, and I'm on Google Latitiude. I share my location with Google and my friends and family. I say who can view my location and it's helped out tremendously. I travel all the time and don't often have time to tell my mom. Now, she can go online and see if I'm in Gainesville, Atlanta, etc. I don't care if she knows... I don't have to hide it. On top of all this, every week (and, again, I could make this EVERY DAY) Google sends me an email reminding me that I'm sharing my location. They are telling me, blatantly, "Hey! You're letting people that you've chosen to see where you're located!" -
No freaking way would I join a site that made it easy for people to find me.
There's already been cases of ex-husbands with restraining orders tracking down former wives through Google Buzz.
