I thought Agent Carter was stellar. The spy thriller stuff is what I wish Agents of Shield had. I wish there was a way to pair up Crater & Culson and just make the show about them. What I really love about it, (and I know I'll get bashed for this) but its the first show of its kind, I've seen where its truly progressive as far as feminism goes. - Hayley is the bad ***, Jarvis is the "wife" - They didn't give her some super feminine fight choreography like with Agent May or Black Widow. She throws the hell down and street fights. - She's not some skinny waif. - So far, she hasn't had any "girly" moments that shows tend to do to strong females, by making her worry about a boy liking her or stupid stuff like that.
I have my concerns with the show such as some of the plausibility of certain situations but overall I like it. The Penguin character does go against the grain of what he's supposed to look like but IMO that's one of the better played roles in the show. The concerns I have stem mainly from stuff, that as someone else mentioned, has penguin killing a handful of people in broad daylight. I like Jada's acting but her character is annoying in this.
Looks like they are going to start doing the Joker by the end of the season. This show has no restraint. It is like me at a buffet. I just want to eat it all right now!
