Didn't Olshansky have a few sacks this year?

Thought Olshansky was doing okay in that sub role... eh, why not bring back Ryan Baker and Ray Feinga then?

    AMERICA!
    Both were brought back.

DAVIE, Fla. (AP)—Defensive tackle Ryan Baker and guard Ray Feinga have re-signed with the Miami Dolphins, who waived kicker Shayne Graham and defensive tackle Igor Olshansky.

Nope...7 tackles and 1 forced fumble was his production

Fair enough. Thanks. For some reason I thought I remember seeing him force a fumble when I went to the Buffalo game 2 weeks ago.

I don't understand swapping Olshansky for Baker. Had we kept Olshansky for the season, then when he signed elsewhere as a UFA in the offseason it could have helped us for net gain and loss for free agents which could have meant one more compensatory pick in 2013.

I thought Igor was playing better than Merling anyway. The coaches have sort of love affair with Merling, keeping him around through marginal production. Baker has been on the street since we cut him a couple of months ago, and no one else signed him. So we see what the rest of the league thinks of him.

I'm not sure why the swap would occur, either. Maybe they thought Baker is a long-term project, and they felt like they needed experience when Merling had whatever "issues" he had earlier in the season, and now with him back they no longer need it.

I guess this means..Sparano's affair with Graham is now over and he's back with Carpenter?

As for Baker, I'd bet Olsansky is nicked and with 6 games to go it just made more sense to resign Baker then to wait for Igor to be able to take the field.

The thought process of our FO is often very difficult to decipher, this is a good example.

I didn't know they had room for any other love affairs other than the serious crush they have on Columbo?
