He can probably make a good living in the CFL, maybe better than being a 3rd string Qb in the NFL anyways. A lot of guys would be better off going to the CFL and actually playing than hanging around the NFL with a clip board.

His game is well suited to the CFL, I wish him well.

Interesting
Seems like there were a handful in here that had this kid winning the heisman and being the best Pro prospect in the draft :shifty:
Anywho, I have had a little visibility to this kid here in Dallas. Nothing but an absolute Class act. He has taken this all in stride foer the most part.
I also hope the CFL does him good, and who knows, he could still end up being a solid NFL QB somewhere down the road -
I'm surprised he didn't try the UFL.

If he gets some time to play, he could prove a point if he keeps working hard. After a year or two playing up here, he might earn himself another look in the NFL. Worked for Cam Wake..

I "know" the CFL get's bagged on, but after watching countless hours of CFL 5 minute highlight clips, it's not "terrible" football, it is very different from the NFL though.hammerbillsfan likes this. -

As for the talent level, maybe, it's a different game like euro basketball used to be, a different skill set is required to be successful in the CFL.
BTW, Cam Wake in an interview mentioned that some CFL games are played in -30, and that is 'F not celsious...wow...
But some skills do transfer, ball security, clock management, leadership, a feel for the pass rush, on Defense, it's a different story for the secondaries.
BTW, one innovation that came from the CFL into the NFL is fielding missed field goals and returning them like a punt, when the Bears ST guys, Vasher and Thomas returned missed FG for a TD in back to back seasons, that was straight out of the CFL playbook.
