Remarkably got a "not before the 3rd round" grade by the advisory committee.

    Wow.

I still think he's going to leave.

What's it with the committee and defensive ends these days? That seems like a overly conservative grade, even for their conservative standards. Is there something we don't know, I wonder.

I would think they would have looked into his character issues. And he did spend this year playing with a stress fracture I believe. Wonder just how much that had an impact on the grade.

I'd wager the guess that there's definitely more to it than just his performance on the field. For a guy like Hardy, a not before the 3rd round grade is like yelling "stay the **** in school" in his face.

I could easily see him as a 2nd round pick, he would be an absolute steal in the 3rd round. Despite his problems off the field Hardy can flat out play.

With that grade do you all think he will still come out? I would love to get this kid.

I still think he comes out and I still think he's a first rounder but wouldn't be shocked to see him slip.

If he was at our 2nd round pick, I'd hope we took him, even if we took another OLB earlier.

actually I am interested what he has done off the field that puts up red flags. I know he has been involved with some stuff off the field, but does anyone know what he did and if it was just one time or if it was a pattern?

Does he have anyother red flags? Does he take plays off for instance?

Just from what I have seen though he is an absolute beast that could be a good LB for us. Ole Miss even uses him as a WR in some sets.

I hope we'd take him too but with his issues, I'm not sure we would.

To keep it short and sweet, he's got a drug issue, he takes plays off, maturity questions and he's all about the money.

He's definitely got talent. He's one of three of my favorite guys in this draft - the other two being Jerry Hughes and Larry English.

I haven't watched Jerry Hughes so I don't know much about him, but I think Greg Hardy is a better prospect than Larry English right now. That being said, with multiple red flags up you really have to know what your getting in a player.

Greg had a lot of issues off the field. Some making him sound unstable(i say sound because i dont know him personally so i dont know)...

but not showing up to practice, playing basketball with friends instead, mental lapses over small things, unable to take criticism.

Also today he said he would return for his senior season. hes going to need to show the NFL he has grown up this year.
