A Monday MRI confirmed a torn right ACL and MCL for Rob Gronkowski.
The championship aspirations of the Patriots were torpedoed by one legal yet low hit from Browns S T.J. Ward. Look for the Patriots to utilize more three- and four-receiver sets the rest of the way, highlighting Julian Edelman, Shane Vereen and Danny Amendola. As for Gronk, the serious injuries continue to mount for the 24-year-old All-Pro. Since signing a $55 million contract in June of 2012, he's had four arm surgeries, another back surgery and now this devastating knee injury. Gronkowski's availability for the start of the 2014 season is in serious jeopardy.
