That's why I see the projection that Tannehill could become like Rodgers as reasonable. Rodgers had that mechanical Tedford throwing motion when he came out. He was criticized for being inaccurate on long passes and lacking anticipation. They were both considered to have good size, strong arms, be good athletes and have good, but not great accuracy. They both threw roughly the same number of passes in Div 1 (Tannehill had a few more attempts). So if you have two prospects that have basically the same strengths and the same weaknesses and about the same amount of experience and will be developed by the same person (Philbin), it makes sense to project that they could become similar players.
