I picked up GTA4 for PS3, and noticed that the game plays choppy!! WTF?? Does anyone else have this problem? Sometimes it is unbearable, especially when driving. My config is; 80GB PS3, 52” Sony Bravia, HDMI cables. Any known reasons or solutions to this problem? PS. The driving mechanics of this game SUCK. You slide no matter what. It’s like you have slicks on an ice pond.
It's just a bad port, I also picked it up for the PS3 and did noticed it but I wouldn't call it unbearable. The driving just sucks in that game.
i don't think the driving sucks. It's just more realistic. No, you can't go down the street in an Caddy-esque 4 door sedan and nail a 90 degree turn at 80MPH like you could in previous GTAs.
I guess so, im not even an hour into the game yet, so I'll get used to it. Its a shame about the choppiness though.
i have it on ps3 and dont notice any choppiness. i beat gta4, but thought it sucked. bigger fan of saints row 2.
Never noticed any choppiness myself (maybe its the TV configuration or something maybe you could as Sony on their official site) and I agree with Mor the driving is more realistic. It was terrible at first but once you learn how to drive its great (by the way use the break lightly). Also I like that the game now has trophies.
