    Celt,

I've been watching CNN since last night and throughout today. Anderson Cooper is near the NO area I believe and I think this is what he was talking about. He was saying how about fifteen minutes before they came on the air, he was looking at the sky. It was blue, like the usual and then a couple minutes later came on a gigantic black cloud that covered the sky. He said it was something he's never seen before.

8 people dead in New Orleans, power out to 80,000 and massive flooding in some areas. Thank God that the city was more prepared this time around as the death toll could have been much higher.

Ah I really wish I could. Unfortunately I was the last Grandchild for him and even before he passed away in 99, the little I got to actually speak to him was extremely limited on the scope of conversation. Pretty much everything I do know about his past is from my parents.

I actually came across some old newspaper clippings of his in storage, stuff he collected while on tour... it was more compelling than one would imagine something like that to be.

I will probably need to talk to my uncle to find out exactly what kind of aircraft he was in, but I would love to know myself.

bro.. please.. do this.. collect all the stories.. record them, scan the documents and then save them. Not only is the story important to Americana, but your kids, and grandkids will be proud to know this stuff too. The old folks are TREASURES, get all you can before the book closes and noone remembers anymore.
