I think you are thinking of his teammate Owens. I did not like Owens much. If you grade by looking at pieces of paper, you liked Owens. If you grade by watching games you liked Atkins.

Well, I had him that Donald Jones/Ramses Barden small college Wr who was huge category, what he did in college meant nothing on the NFL level ashte competition was just too crude to draw much from it.

    Brandon Sharpe with the TD.

UDFA, he had a ton of sacks but for whatever reason aside from good measurables, he just was not picked in April.

Imho he is a CFL rush end ala Phillip hunt.

Have you sent that memo to the NFL scouts yet letting them know that they needn't bother watching tape of small school guys and they should just draft them on measurables sight-unseen? I'm sure it would be well received.

I dont know where Palmer was throwing to. Had a man on top he couldve thrown an out-pass to. Gotta credit this Cowboy defense though, they have some depth.

Cinci is very deep on defense, 4th qtr of the first preseason game and Dunlap can barely make it unto the field, and Mike Johnson is still playing.

They had 11 inactives for the evening as well.

Boy, Al Michaels thinks we're all a bunch of ******s, no?

Collinsworth could have at least said that the three technique shades the offensive guard's outside shoulder. He said "he lines up in between the Guard and Tackle and charges down."

late rd picks or UDFa's all, save for White.

Cinci is running out #2's and #3's...and this yr's #2 Dunlap, their Koa Misi, can barely get any run time, Mike Brown is a cheap GM, but he has stockpiled some talent.

Their LB corps is really deep as well.

Wow, I know there was no gameplanning involved, and this is more or less was just a scrimmage, but what a dud that Cincy offense was. I hope TO and OchoCinco have much more of an impact than that crap of a performance.

Shipley had some nice cuts on that return. We should get Armando to write an article about how Shipley's not that white.

its early. every offense in the league sucks this week. by next week both ooffenses should be better. i saw the same problems for both teams that we're suffering namely offensive lines that arent in sync

What stood out to me is that the Cincinnati backup offensive line, and really the starters as well, could not pass protect for their QBs, and their QBs couldn't get the ball to their WRs. I actually thought the Cincy WRs did a decent job getting open from top to bottom. Matt Jones really showed something out there, and even the perennial disappointment Jerome Simpson did as well.

Cincy has great depth in the defense. But the starters? I'm not convinced yet. Geno Atkins just beasted that game and so did Michael Johnson. But they'll be role players for now. I was impressed with Pacman Jones. To be out of commission for as long as he has and to play THAT well right away...well, he's always been a beast. What a deal they got there. And I do like their LBs generally speaking. But safeties? Defensive linemen? I don't know. Geno Atkins and Michael Johnson should work their way into the nickel defense which should be a big boost. I don't know where the pass rush will be coming from in the base defense.

Dallas is just a finished product all the way around IMO. That defense is still a monster and the depth appears superb. Their offense will be monstrous as long as they have Miles Austin, Jason Witten, Tony Romo, Felix Jones, and then maybe you toss in a Dez Bryant. I love Patrick Crayton and that guy's almost on the outs. This was a nice test for Doug Free and he seemed to pass with flying colors. I like that team but it will go only as far as Romo goes and I never know if he's ready to win.
