And how do I know? Because I am a Dolphin fan living in New Jersey and watching all the Jet fans loss their minds at this moment. Them losing to the Giants is almost better than us beating them, especially in the manner they got beat and the Giants fans chanting at the end of the game Giants Stadium! Giants Stadium! Giants Stadium! The aftermath has made this one of my best Xmas eves ever: Merry Christmas everyone!!!
Well, if we win next week, it will be glorious. The Jets are my most hated team, and the Giants are my 2nd favorite team behind Miami. It would be Xmas 2 weeks in arrow. On a serious note, I've said from the beginning that blowhards like Rex Ryan are effective for a couple of years, but then their rhetoric starts to wane and the players will become deaf to it. Same reason I do not want his obnoxious twin brother. Those two dip****s didn't fall far from their family tree. Just like their daddy, coach a good defense, but inthe end, just blowhards
Same here, I always root for the Giants and wish the worse on the Jets. My old man was a Giants fan and that plays a part too, but the hate for the Jets has build up for 35 years plus, alot of that has to do with the way the media builds them up everytime they get a decent team.
Listening to Benigno will be great too, he always goes over the top when it comes to his anguish being a Jets fan. Poor bastard.
After knocking off the Patriots in the Super Bowl a few years ago, I think every Dolphins fan has a bit of a soft spot for the Giants. Today only reinforced that notion for me.
Feel free to have fun with the following hashtag: #NYJetsPlaylist example: Foo Fighters - The Pretender
Haha I was at the game today too. It was great, I guess us dolphins fans think alike because my 2nd team has always been the Giants because of my pops too. Way to shut that fat boy up.
I like the GMen, always have. They ARE a classy organization, unlike the degenerate filth they share a stadium with.
They're still alive, mathematically, but they need Cincinnati, Oakland, and Tennessee to all lose next week to get in. They obviously must beat Miami.
Rex isn't much better than his dad as a coach. Buddy is forever loved in Philly moreso than Reid because of his mouth. He never won a playoff game, he coached a much better D than Rex and Rex like daddy has chose to believe that offense is a byproduct of the game. They will have a total meltdown next year.
Well, his dad also had the advantage of coaching arguably one of the top 5 best defensive players of all time in R White in Philly, and had Singletary in Chicago. I agree he coached better D than Rexy, but Rexy only has one elite player, Revis
No doubt the next best thing to a Fins victory is a jests loss, to anyone especially to their hometown peers the G-Men....love it...
With the NE comeback (which sucked, but is what it is, and does provide a draft benefit); combined with NYG beating up on JESTS....it was a great day!
Amen! It's the stinkin Jets and we have the chance to put a nail in their playoff coffin. WIN! Besides, lets face it, with Barkley going back to USC the draft order isn't half as important as it was when 3 top of the draft QB prospects were in the mix. We can be pretty sure that the 2 top QB prospects will be gone so what does it really matter now? BEAT THE DAMN JETS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They all took off, but Beningo did call in and ABSOLUTELY ROAST the Jets. Said he thinks they lose to us, lol.
When I lived in Brooklyn, there was this older sounding guy on WFAN who every year would play jets low-lights with "Send in the Clowns" in the background. It killed me!!!! That song is about failure and then it ends with the lyrics, "well, maybe next year...."
That had to be Steve Somers, it sounds like something he would do, did the guy sound like he was from Queens?
I just googled it. You're right, its Somers. I loved to listen to that guy and his little intricacies like calling Sacramento "Sacra-tomato". But those annual jets montages with "Send in the Clowns" was PRICELESS!!!!
http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=69952 It's tradition! I do not care very much either way TBH, save for I'd like to see MMoore play well, and maybe Gates bust a return for a TD or JT get the sacks he needs to pass Strahan. After all these yrs, no one climbs out on the ledge better then Jets fans..
Thank you Maynard for changing the title! You guys have no clue how damn giddy I am up here in NJ, we knocked them out before anyone else could do it and I couldn't be happier,
