Looking forward to a better 2013 for all of you. Please go out and have a great time tonight but dont do anything exceptionally dumb like driving when you're drunk. Crash at a friends place not in to a phone pole or another car. 6 hours and change to go... :yahoo:

Enjoy it everyone and for goodness sakes..don't drink and drive!
Have fun! -
New Year's will likely never be the same for me and my family. My mother in law is at the end of her fight against cancer and the game may be called tonight if you get my drift.

Her and I didn't always get along, but this is beyond what she deserved. She was a good woman and she's only 64. The fun part will be telling the kids. Its ****ed up all the way around.
Not to dampen anyone else's night, have fun, be safe.dolfan7171, The Rev, Boik14 and 1 other person like this. -
It's fine Conu, my mom is sort of going through the same, her cancer is in remission but she really does not do much of anything any more.
I'll slide down the hill and watch the ball drop from the local watering establishment.
Rumor has something like 21 DUI road checks being set up tonight in my town, you'd be insane to drink and drive. -

She passed at 10:11 pm our time - 1 hour ahead. My wife is home now, sleeping. She couldn't watch her mother's final breath, she had to go outside. She apparently then felt very calm, and her sister touched and said she had passed.
Its been an interesting Christmas. Had a guy I worked with and was quite friendly with die on Christmas night. He was only 24. Had to take him under my wing so to speak when he worked in the same company. Saw him on the friday before Christmas and my last words to him were to have a safe christmas. Now there is this to deal with, it makes for an odd holiday season to be honest. Hasn't felt anything like Christmas at all knowing that Vanessa (my mother-in-law) was dying and would likely take her last breath soon. It was obvious she fought to make it until Christmas. Immediately after that day it seemed as though she began truly going downhill from an already broken state.
When she was diagnosed in February, they found 30 nodes of cancer in her brain alone, she lived until today. Tough girl. No question about it.
Please make sure you give your loved ones a hug, you are not promised tomorrow.dolfan7171, Boik14 and The Rev like this. -

Pads I'm glad to hear your mother is in remission. Hopefully in time she'll find more energy and vibrance.
