Now that is just odd, and would explain the back and forth and the yesses and the no's as each Agent has it in their interest to make sure "their" deal is the one that Harbaugh accepts.

And it isn't uncommon for people to have more than one agent. Harbaugh just switch firms about a month ago (looks like SOMEONE knew he was about to cash in), so as a new high profile account, you often have more than one guy handling affairs. David Dunn is the main guy, but it isn't unheard of to have another that handles a lot of the dirty work and pre-work of a deal. -
I'm fairly sure on that, I'd heard 7-10 million, and also heard when Gruden said that this past Monday- Tuesday Ross inquired to Ireland how much Harbaugh wanted and that brought everything to a full stop, they also had pitched Harbaugh at around the same time and he was cool to their approach in that same time frame.
Different agencies negotiating deals with two seperate entities at the same time for only one purpose, being the Head Coach?
That is a part of the reason why confusion has reigned in all of this, including Glazer saying one SF contact said they had not been in talks, the second SF contact said they had just negotiated that day. -
Ilya Kovalchuk of the Devils had two agents much like Harbaugh when he was a free agent last summer, at the time Kovy was negotiating with teams from the NHL and he had a seperate agent for that and the KHL - Russia's pro league - and he had a seperate agent for that as well.
