    Good to hear.
Showing he's able to influence and gain respect.
Lets hope the players are as impressed and willing to follow as a film director is.

Tomlin was the most recent one I could think of.

Switzer was also a complete idiot outside of the game.

Mike Tomlin should of been our head coach, he was an obvious talent.

That's what hats are for! ;) And, it's about the content of his words, how he says them, the character he shows, etc.

If you're judging on appearance that's pretty foolish.

How inspiring does Tom Coughlin look?

File this one under the "run through a wall for a guy" heading.

After Brian Biggane made a STUPID and UNTRUE accusation of Joe Philbin being a liar for not revealing Brian Hartline's private, legally protected medical information...Philbin personally called Biggane up to set the record straight, was very courteous, said no hard feelings and he does not mind if Biggane criticizes him for questionable coaching, and that he's sure Biggane will get a chance to do so soon enough. I have nothing against Brian Biggane but it was more than he deserved, on this particular issue. It should have been Biggane reaching out to Philbin and apologizing for calling him a liar. Just another example of Philbin being a guy with the kind of integrity and patience that most of us think can't be real, because we have trouble relating.

Any links to the stuff Biggane said or this story at all? Seems like an interesting read and makes Philbin look like a very smart man.

Smart dude. Philbin probably just made a friend who hopefully will be less inclined to write BS about him.... Not that Philbin should, or does, give a rats crap.

I'm sure you've seen it by now, there's a whole thread about it.

Yeah. I caught it in the other thread. Biggane really messed up. I think Philbin nipped it in the *** because media tends to run with these things. We're a Hard Knocks team now, everything is a potential storyline.

I think he nipped it because he genuinely didn't want to be perceived as just another coach that will lie when it suits him. I think he's more part of the Tony Dungy school in that regard.

    Fair enough.
