Its not indictment of not having a good qb...its indicative of horrible coaching. Penny, Henne & Moore are all capable of winning from behind in the 4th. Sparano playing safe and Henning outsmarting himself is what caused that stat.
i'm still unsure where to place blame on that pass he should have scored on. The one where he was WIDE open and he fell down trying to catch the ball.
I'm glad he took the time to secure the catch. Seems counter-intuitive, but those wide open looks are actually the hardest to catch. It's so strange to think how that kickoff return for a TD really is disadvantageous. Their defense was spent and it allowed us to easily manipulate the clock while our defense rested for one last stand. I bet in like 5 yrs. coaches who recognize their defense is susceptible will tell their kick returner to stop around the 10 or 5 in similar end of the game scenarios. A tired defense against a 4 down offense at the end is really a mismatch in today's NFL.
