Puts other teams on a pedestal but never the dolphins. The NFL network is horrible about bringing up the Patriots 25 times a day while Miami never gets mention at all.
I counted the nfl network had brought up the patriots 35 times today and the jets 15 times and the Bills 5 or 6 times.
the way those buttwipes act its like the afc east is a three team division.
I for one am so sick of Tom Brady this , and Tom Brady that .
I don't like espn or NFL Network for they just flat out promote our 3 afc east rivials .
this could change if only more former dolphin players would get into the media.
on a side note Brett Farve is back in the news again. if he comes out of retirement then maybe we should get Ricky Williams and Dan to comeback , but with the oline as it is I wouldn't with that on any former player,

Nobody likes teams that stink, and we stink... "Winning is a great deodorant" john madden.... The jets are the darlings of the nfl with their goofball coach, the pats win, and the bills beat us.. But espn did mention us on live, "mike Wallace is terrible" paraphrasing a bit..

I get it.
Stop watching. Pre-game shows, post-game shows, Sportscenter, all of it.
The only acceptable show imo is Playbook on NFLN.
You'll be amazed of how little you miss participating in the daily slog of sports news. Actually you won't be amazed, because you knew it all along.Bpk, Aquafin, MikeHoncho and 3 others like this. -

I never realized a pedestal meant being called a glorified expansion team and being ranked dead last.
The Jets were slammed 9 ways to Sunday all off-season. They don't even get top billing in NY. That belongs to the Giants.

If the Dolphins hadnt sucked for the better part of the last decade, they might be relevsnt enough to be talked about.

The Dolphins have a combined record of 30-40 over the past four seasons and six games this year. They lost to the Bills last week at home. They have one of the lowest home attendance figures in the entire NFL as well as one of the lowest TV viewership in a home market in the NFL. Exactly what in all these facts make you think talking about the Miami Dolphins in the media would draw a larger viewing audience?

The thing is...unless you live in or are from Miami....the Dolphins are a team for the "football elite" viewers and followers. A team with history and ups and downs...maybe not always the flashiest or most provocative but they are the football man's footbal team.
To casual fans who don't really follow their team or care about football...including the soulless jerks who are more concerned making back their bets and their fantasy football than how "their team" is actually doing...well they are are going to pick the most "gangster" looking jersey colours, bandwagon team, or tough sounding city/team name....then there's those guys who like a team because of 1 player and just boat when he's traded....To these narrow minded "football fans" the Dolphins are just a laughing stock perennial loser with a childish logo and "ghey" colours. Screw these people, screw NFL network, Fins up.dolphinfn3454 and Bpk like this. -

We don't matter. We are completely irrelevant. Win and that will change. When we were 3-0, you started to see it.
But for now we're just another mediocre-to-bad team with a boring head coach who says nothing to the media.MikeHoncho likes this. -
I think once we start winning consistently, taking the big games, and building a winning-culture, then the media coverage and hoop-la will follow. We are just not relevant at the moment, Last time we sniffed the national attention-pie we were 3-0 about a month ago.

And yeah, as Muck, meister and Section alluded too, when we were 3-0 we were getting a ton of media attention. When we start winning consistently it will come.

1) rumor has it, Dan may finally make that return to the front office position he earlier resigned from...
2) would like to see Pennington aboard as the new QB coach, eventually moving to offensive coordinator -
Stop caring about what they're talking about. When you get to the heart of it it's all rather meaningless. The games are what's truly important, not looking for props from a bunch of talking heads.

Mike and Mike on ESPN radio mentioned the QBs they think are franchise. T'Hill didn't get mentioned at all. The said 19 QB's were franchise QB. They said Emanuel and Jeno Smith are too early to tell but the never said T'Hil and they mentioned 28 of the 32 teams QB's.

Same for baseball. Stl Cardinals have consistently been in the playoffs and are going for their third world series in seven years and they do most get near the face time on espn as teams like Boston and new York. Marketability has a lot to do with it I think.
Why so serious? -
It juust doesn't matter... It just doesn't matter... It just doesn't matter
