He hasn't been fired yet, I would be extremely surprised if this happens before the draft.

 

There are rumors that he'll be fired tomorrow. Only time will tell.

 

How do we manage the draft if Mueller is gone? There surely wont be anymore clued up draft guys available at this stage.

I find draft preparation to be vastly overrated as it is. Almost anyone with the internet can analyze players just as good as most GMs in the league.

That aside, Parcells is probably going to be a lot more involved with the draft then he's letting on.

 

Good point, I wouldnt be surprised if Parcells has been taking his own notes on certain players. What else has he had to do over the past few months? lol

Randy Mueller will be gone before the draft no doubt. He does a lot of work on prospects, but he doesn't have sole access to the information collected. Aside from that, Ron Wolf, though not formally a scout or GM, does his homework constantly on prospects and he is absolutely one of the best - better then Mueller.

We already have a 66 year old (Parcells) who is at his very last stop in the NFL. We don't need a decrepit old man like Ron Wolf. Wolf is past 70 for crying out loud. Are we going to the Geriatric Dept. to try to turn our team around?

 

Who cares how old these guys are, if they can still get the job done it doesn't matter if he is 30 years old or 70 years old.

 

Exactly. And experience counts. There are mistakes younger less experienced talent evaluators won't make that these guys since they can use their wealth of knowledge to prevent mistakes.
