If this happens, you can call the Kansas City Chiefs' 2008 draft class a smashing success. And it will have nothing to do with first-round picks Glenn Dorsey and Branden Albert, who are sure to be standouts for the Chiefs as they rebuild for the future.
Fourth-round pick Will Franklin of Missouri has started strong for his home-state team. Franklin has been so impressive that there is talk that he may compete for a starting spot alongside second-year player Dwayne Bowe. The Chiefs have long been looking for receiving help. If Franklin can develop, this team will be on to something. Bowe looks like a stallion and if this fourth rounder can pay dividends, perhaps there is hope for this anemic offense.
