The only thing worse than Haskin's abilities on the field is his attitude. B U S T. Not a Rosen level bust but pretty terrible. Thank god the Redskins didn't take Tua.
I wish they had taken Tua, we would probably have the QB I wanted in that case, Herbert. Unless someone jumped us.
I think you'd prefer Nick Mullins to Tua but I'll forgive you for that. We both want the same thing so if Tua turns in All Pro, you'll be just as happy as I am. If he sucks we'll all be suffering.
I actually dont think Tua will suck despite how down I can be, it's more to do with the fact I really believed Herbert will end up the best QB in this draft and we passed on him. I just sort of think he (Tua) will be average for a starter and hard for us to move away from if we need to because he will be just good enough for a coach to justify sticking with him. I do want him to succeed though obviously like you said. I'll take 15 superbowls, 20 MVPs and a nobel prize if he can do it lol
It's already clear that Herbert is far better than most prognosticators predicted. He also looks the part.
I think that this is Ron Rivera being impatient, short sighted, and going with the guy he has a history with more than anything. Haskins just played against one of the best defenses in the league, and came out of it completing 71% of his passes, throwing for over 300 yards and a 90 rating, and he gets benched. I think that he has a ton of potential, and he's only 23.
Well I dont think it's good to immediately crown anyone so I agree, that said my money is on Herbert being the best in this class when it's all said and done.
Not always, unfortunately. Sometimes, a young QB is only given one brief chance, and then he never gets onto the field to prove himself again. Seems to be happening more often lately. An extreme lack of patience.
