heavy drinking will kill you. its not like this is a myth that needs to be tested. encouraging people to drink heavily to live longer is completely ****ed up.

First beer is better than water after a workout, now it is better for me to be a moderate drinker than a non-drinker.

I can't wait for the study that shows wacking off to computer porn cures cancer, a tub of ice-cream at night actually causes people to lose weight and blow jobs from hookers ironically prevents AIDs.

This study is skewed from the beginning b/c it's comparing drinkers to people who had outpatient care during the previous 3 years, so the non-drinkers might NOT have been in exactly the greatest health to begin with. For all we know, they could've "randomly" (and by randomly I mean purposefully) selected the morbidly obese patients for this study and compared them to social drinkers who looked to be healthy.

I'd like to see the same study done on drinkers (with or without liver disease) compared to people who had ZERO outpatient care in the previous 3 years.

PS: I discovered this 20 year study was funded by Anheuser Bush. For a case of beer I'll be quiet.
