Okay so I have a ISO image which I used MagicIso to rip the ISO image and extracted the video files. I then added all the files to the disc and then used Free Easy CD/DVD burner to burn it. So it wrote 98% on the disc but there is nothing showing up on the disc and it wont play. I can't figure this **** out its frustrating
look in "program files" for "vlc" .. log is usually in there could it be a burn issue? did you burn it at a slow speed? (4x)?
Alright I'll check that now. Not sure I burned it at 16X Whats funny is I can play the contents I burned in VLC just can't play it from the disc.
sounds like a burn issue. you said it only burned to 98%.. that 2% could be the issue. the slower you burn things.. especially bigger things like .ISO's.. the better off you are in the long run. it sucks waiting because we have 16x, 32x, etc, but for larger things or things you really care about burn slow. (note to felix )
But the Movie itself is 4.36 Gigs the dvd is is 4.37 Gigs. What would burning it slower do? What does buffer size do?
???? This is my first time trying this. IF you know of a FAQ on how to do this right please point me in that direction!
not usually. same thing happens if you burn a CD and it says there are errors usually it doesn't play. that's why i said it seemed to be a burn issue. speed might not be the problem sometimes they just burn bad
no, but i have burned many a CD before and when an error is presented it usually doesn't work. http://www.google.com/#hl=en&source...=0&aqi=g10&oq=burning+mov&fp=b36c7832dbb01be6
Well I have never had an issue with burning CD's partly because it was straight forward. Goign to try the AVS video converter.
Some burnable dvd-r's are straight up poor quality too. He may just have some bad discs in his spindle.
Argh I hope thats not the case! That AVS video converter is **** puts a water mark on so I said eff it. Pete have you ever done anything that I'm doing?
Nope sorry man. I just have some experience with dvd-r's and know some are higher quality than others.
Use IMGBurn to burn your ISOs to your DVDs. Sounds to me like you had a bad burn. No need for encoding, don't even know why that was thrown in the mix. You ripped your ISO files, then you burn your ISO files to DVD. It's that simple to me. When I burn ISOs I'll use DVDFab (the HD Decrypter or w/e is free and works like a charm) to rip the ISO file.. then burn the ISO file with IMGBurn. Never had a problem and I've done this over 100 times...
