OK, I'm working on an HP nx6110.

It's dead as a doorknob. Won't work with AC power, won't work with a battery. I switched batteries with another HP that I know has a charge and no dice. I even switched out power cables and nothing.

I took it apart to check the motherboard for any obvious sign of problems or to see if the ac jack has broken solder points. Nothing looks clean and there are no obvious signs of problems.

I moved this to the Q&A forums because it will get more attention. :wink2:

When you try to turn it on, do you hear the fan or see any lights whatsoever?

    Thanks.

No, nothing lights up. No fan, no LED's nada.

The charge indicator won't even light up when you plus the ac cable in.

It's almost like no power is making it through the motherboard at all.
