I've got a version of Stevie Ray Vaughn playing Voodoo Child on playlist.com...I'm trying to buy the CD but I can't find it anywhere. I've found quite a few renditions of his but this one stands out from the rest. First of all the bass is more pronounced...the song is a live version and is 11:30 long (could be longer but that's what this file is anyway). It's the only version I've heard where the bass drum hits two beats after the guitar intro........ ex.....wah wah wah......guitar intro....boom booom....more intro and stevie starts rocking... It's #16 on my playlist (sandwiched between two hendrix's) here's the link http://www.playlist.com/playlist/14623111435 Thanks in advance!
You would most likely have to find out the date and venue the live recording was recorded at. You have firefox? Try this link... http://mashable.com/2007/08/01/firefox-downloads/ That has software that helps you out. Not that I.. or the phins.com.. condone such usage..
No worries, bro. For some reason I'm on a tangent Got a new iphone so I've been shoring up my music library. I did find something though...... This might not be voodoo child but rather voodoo Chile. There was a CD put out called Rock Masters: Lip Stopping Baby. It has a version that's about 3 minutes shorter but VERY similar. I'm going o keep digging, but that might be the best I can get.
Bro I just got done with some things. I check ed all of my cd's to include the box set, and none of the songs sound like that. They start out kinda the same, but the drums are different from your jam track. The only thing I can think of it was a live show, maybe a special get together, therefore the extra tweaks. Where did you get this from? If you locate the cd, please let me know. Thanks, John
Dude I REALLY appreciate the effort. I'll definitely let you know if I find the CD that it came from. You can listen to the "close" version that's slightly shorter (but way similar) here http://mp3.rhapsody.com/stevie-ray-vaughan/rock-masters-lip-stopping-baby/voodoo-chile
Brother if you like Stevie, try Gary Moore. His latest is Bad for you Baby. He is a very good guitar player. Started in his early days in a band called Thin Lizzy. Was close friend of the lead singer Phil Lynott. Some of his stuff I just posted in the lounge thread what are your ears thumping to now.
Here, 11 minute version third song down. Amazon mp3 is great as they don't have digital rights restrictions. http://www.amazon.com/s/qid=1245481...gital-music&field-keywords=stevie ray vaughan
