I understand there was recently a security vulnerability in firefox that lets crap get through to your system - just happened to me and I also run firefox on my desktop computer and it boned me big time. Similar issues as yours though - You can go to kaspersky (sp?) or iolo, webroot etc.. and download trials of some of the other softwares that's where I found the problems. I tried webroot spysweeper and it found a ton of stuff that regular AV didn't find.

That happens to me as well. What I do is let it sit for a few minutes and then try to open it up again.

Anytime my computer takes more than a minute to load something I go all "Office Space" on it.

It gets expensive. But damn it feels good.
