Henne isn't a franchise QB, but he isn't horrible either. Certainly better than Blake Bortles.

Bortles is owed $19 million if he gets hurt.

Henne is expendable.

Henne is expendable for cheap.

Henne is 0.2 points better than the worst passing quarterback I have ever seen in the NFL when it comes to passer rating.

 

Numbers can lie.

For example, nobody would choose Cleo Lemon over Henne. He isn't a good QB but he isn't on the same level as many of the backup Qb's.

 

To be in that situation would be a nightmare.
