Yea, give me Kyle Orton over Henne anytime....:shifty:
DOUCHE! -
Worst QB of his career? Isn't it a little presumptuous of him to make a claim like that? I mean Jay Cutler isn't exactly a shining star and neither is Kyle Orton.

His passing is flawed at best, he has trouble reading defenses and pushing the ball. He doesn't seem to know how to fool defenders. His decision-making is questionable at times. He lacks the athleticism needed and speaking of which he doesn't make proper use of the athleticism on his team because he just can't get passes high enough over defenders; has zero touch in that department. Henne is probably the single worst I have ever seen play at the Point-guard position. I suggest he sticks to football, methinks he's gonna be pretty good at that.

However there is no way they can accurately project how Henne will play moving into Yr 2 as the Starter with this offense, no matter how hard they may try.. -

Kill me now if Henne doesn't become better than Orton AND Jay Cutler. -
Marshall is playing with the greatest QB that he, or any other reciever will EVER get to play with

This is the funniest thread I've read in a long time. And this guy is who? And he knows about football how? I like it, let the entire league think Henne to Marshall will never work, then all of a sudden we're deep in the playoffs and the same idiots are proclaiming they saw this combo as the second coming of Montana to Rice, or Aikman to Irvin.
Let's fly under the radar, and win it all :up:DolfanJake, dolfan7171 and huck1974 like this. -
Grossman was a waste of time. Orton is better. -

Print this out and hang it in Henne's locker.

Just for reference Denver ran the ball 440 times last year. Miami ran it 509 times. Denver lost many games down the stretch and did throw more than they'd like to/likely would if they were leading. And, Miami broke in a QB who had thrown what 17 passes before hand for the final 13 games.
The difference is 69 carries. 4.31 carries a game.

Yet Statistically he has yet to play 1 FULL SEASON. This guys a idiot. Maybe im wrong but didnt henne beat twice the best defense in the nfl last year. Plus I clearly remember that 50yd perfect bomb for TD against Revis.

Colorado Dolfan ...dirty drownin' man?
Strange. Have a funny feeling that both players played significantly worse without Marshall than they did with him. Kinda think that sort of thing just might happen here. Just a guess, though.
In fact, I'm pretty sure Orton had a significantly worse first season starting than Henne did... Cutler was good, though. Almost as if he had Marshall even that year. ;) -
Until henne proves it on the field, and not just in the minds of dolphin fans, he hasn't done squat yet. he had a pretty darn impressive rookie season, and is expected to get better. He has to get better. Lets not forget Henne ended the last quarter of the season with 3 TDs and 6 INTs. he was looking good at the beginning of the last game before he got hurt. He started the season off, better than he ended it.
I know we added Marshall, and we hopefully have a healthy Brown.
Orton had a damn good year last year. cutler's years were overrated but still statistically better than Hennes. Henne has to prove he is better. remember this article was about fantasy so it's all stats, nothing else. Wins losses don't matter. It's stats.Wagon Circler likes this. -
whats also silly to me is that guys who supposedly go in depth and study stats completely missed the fact that polite is a major cause for converting 3 and short. the guy just attributes the conversions solely to ronnie brown it would seem

Cutler (yr 4): QB Rtg = 76.8; Yards/Att = 6.6
Orton (yr 1): QB Rtg = 59.7; Yards/Att = 5.1
Orton (yr 4): QB Rtg = 79.6; Yards/Att = 6.4
Henne (yr 1): QB Rtg = 75.2; Yards/Att = 6.4
As you can see, when all three didn't have BM to throw to, they were relatively similar in performance, particularly the two stats I've listed here. It's worth noting that Henne's stats are comparable despite it being from his first year as starter. It's not conclusively stating that Henne is any better, but it certainly doesn't suggest he's any worse.
Now, although we have yet to see what Henne can do with BM, it's useful to look at the impact of BM on these other two and the same stats:
Cutler (yr 2/3): QB Rtg = 87; Yards/Att = 7.4
Orton (yr 5): QB Rtg = 86.8; Yards/Att = 7.0
So, what this tells us is that it appears as though the variable in question, BM, has produced a marked increase in his QB's overall play, which is a good sign for Henne and the dolphins. If his game improves similarly to the other two, Henne should be turning in a QB rating in the low to mid 80s and a 7 yard per attempt average clip. I'll take that, and I'll also take Henne over the other two. He's got Cutler's arm and guts, and just enough of Orton's (really Penny's) sense of smart play to surpass both, IMHO.Colorado Dolfan, texasPHINSfan, Eop05 and 6 others like this. -
A mid-80's QBR would be exactly on schedule for Henne's development, imo.
We can hope for more next year, but that's a reasonable expectation of him this year (his first as a full starter, second on the field, and third in the league).
With this team, this offense, and this talent around him anything less is a very bad sign. Anything more is a VERY good sign, but not to be expected. -

is there any proof that henne has a bad camp so far as mentioned in one of the espn reports, also marshall had the same questionmark written over him with orton as his 1st year QB, in the end i think he could play with anybody, because any nfl qb can throw a 5-10 yard pass and let him do his magic
