I found this pretty interesting. It's a quote Chad Henne made when talking about the possibilities Brandon Marshall (OMFG I still can't get over saying this) can bring to the offense. Subliminally, and I'm sure Fin-O and lmeister can back me up on this, but Henne took a shot at Ginn: http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d81792959&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true
I'd have to see a video clip of the interview in order to really tell whether or not it was a tongue-in-cheek remark...
Maybe Ginn should man up and become a better football player? To the OP, I don't see it as a jab at Ginn. But, if it was, it was well deserved IMO. Listen, let's get this all out now, so we can move on. Teddy Ginn is no longer a Dolphin. It's done. It's over. He's gone. Turn...the...page.
True, Henne should focus.Ginn should focus also, on making catches. that's the reason he now plays in Frisco.
This isn't about Ginn being a better football player. This is about Chad Henne all of a sudden gaining the propensity to say stuff he should be keeping to himself, like that one time he commented on Tebow. Chad Henne, I like your potential as a QB, but keep your tongue on a leash!
I don't see it as a jab from Henne but it could be a jab to fans who dislike him and like to turn it into a jab.
Keep in mind Silverphin...I didn't quote you. I was just sayin'. As for what's being read into what Henne said...maybe it's something, and maybe it ain't.
Face it it's just a fact. Marshall will go for more yardage AFTER the catch not straight for the sideline.
When he gets yards after catch, he's not looking to run out of bounds. He's more going after the corners, because he's 6-foot-4 and a lot of guys are scared of him out there in the open field." I don't see this as a shot at Ginn...sorry.
Huh, what? I can't believe you people took this seriously. I mean the conspiracy theories that are running in some of your head's are astounding. This was just my way of making a parting joke at Ted Ginn's expense. Amazing how a completely innocent quote by Henne with the slightest prodding can turn into this. Henne didn't criticize anyone. Maybe I should have used this:
Fellas, keep in mind Henne is the same dude...who called a timout...when he had used them all already...he probably should concentrate on learning his craft.
we dont know the specifics on that....he could have been getting a signal from a coach to call a timeout in his helmet or from the sideline.
Please. At 6'4" and 230, Marshall is looking for contact in the secondary. At 5' 11" and 178, Ginn is hoping for survival. No knock. Just the facts.
Ginn has tremendous tools. Its a shame that he didn't develop, ya never know, some day he just might.
For all intended purposes, Henne was just stating that BM likes/wants physical contact after catching the ball... not a stab at Ginn, IMO, just seems happy that the new guy is a FOOTBALL PLAYER...
Wouldn't we all kick ourselves if Ginn eventually developed into a real stand out? He did have a few good games for us and part of me will miss him but another part of me knows that it's the smart move. I certainly wish him and his family well in San Francisco.
I must say the last 24 hours have been freckin sweet to be a Dolfan, 1st we get an elite wide receiver and then the next day unload a huge bust. Life is good and now I have the itch, how much longer before the first kick off?
