It may be too late to turn around the season, only the next two weeks will tell. I can say with definitive certainty that Miami would be 4-2 with a playmaker at WR.
Ginn's drops in the Indy game & NO game in the endzone were absolutely awful. It really isn't the fact that he didn't catch them, as much as the horrible technique he is showing. I can get specific, but why bother. Too many flaws right now; hand position, route running, reaching to soon....on and on..
Henne- I personally found time last night and spent 30 minutes watching Henne's tape courtesy of ......... The poise he shows under pressure, crisp touch passes and mid-range, clutch throws are spot on. Great talent. His technique is solid, footwork solid and what once was a question mark....appears not to be any longer- (his arm angles). He has been reading defenses very well. He has shown early in his game time experience that he is capable of leading his team to winning is stressful situations, to only be let down by a WR. Just keep an eye on him not forcing balls, as there needs to be a playmaker in the future -then Miami will need to take advantage of his ability. He has room to improve, don't get me wrong...but the talent is obvious at the pro level.
I think on the Ginn side of the table...he is in need of a wake up call and benching. Maybe he will work harder to improve and be pressured by his locker room leaders or maybe, he will drift into the doghouse for a long stint. We'll see.

ill tell you right now, i live in charlotte nc.....and panther fans would do anything to have henne on their team right now. we are in a good spot. young qb, tons of talent, good running backs, great oline......now he needs defense and a WR and TE.
30+ points with henne under center should be winning games........thats on defense. im sorry.DePhinistr8 and opfinistic like this. -
Nice thing about Henne GRT8, is he improves with every start, from 3 fumbles and 6 sacks in Buffalo to no sacks and no fumbles in the Jets game to requiring all out blitzes by the Saints to sack him last week.
He moves around the pocket better than I thought he would.
As for Ginn...wildly inconsistent. -
Cant wait to see what he does after seeing the Jets for a second time. You know they're going to change their approach and throw different things at him, to confuse him. Let's see if he can adapt.

the IceMan cometh...
Henne  -
This game is going to be huge for Henne. The Jets were cocky in the first matchup, and basically thought there was no way Henne could beat them. After a 20-26 performance and 2 TD's, they'll be blitzing alot more.
The screen pass will be a huge key in this game IMO. After the Jets were burned by that long screen to Ricky in the first quarter, they seemed to be a little hesitant to send the house after that. -
excellent question, one Ive been asking myself
Pat Turner :shifty: and
how about that Ricky Williams against the Saints?
:escape:
Run Ricky Run! -
For those criticizing Ginn's drops, Turner didn't exactly have the surest hands in preseason. -

He's proving every week so far that he's got what it takes to be an NFL QB, and a darn good starting QB at that. So far everyone's estimations that he will be as good as Flacco and Ryan are proving to be fairly accurate. Barring any sort of relapse... (I just knocked on every wooden object in my office), I think he's our guy.
I'd love to see him develop into even half of the QB that Payton Manning is in regards to reading defenses. For a rookie he is already showing an incredible amount of progress in that. The only flaw still seems to be the 2 minute drill, to some effect, and I feel that probably lies more on our lack of receivers than it does him. -
shaunm000 and DolfanCole like this.

I noticed that he isnt locking on to his WRs as much as he used to.

What did Henne have to do with the 80 yard kick return?
1 of those pick 6's was also to Ginn, and it was the fact that Ginn bobbled the ball that caused it to be an int, and not a 1st down. Now if you're blaming Henne because he thought Ginn could make a catch that just about any NFL receiver should be able to make, then maybe he's just too trusting.
The other pick 6 was frustration after once again, Teddy dropped a ball that would have resulted in a first down. It's 4th down with just about 2 minutes left, you cannot afford to turn the ball over or throw it away. He had to do something. We have a better chance of scoring if he puts the ball up for grabs near his receivers, versus if we just throw it out to the sideline or have him take off with it.
Henne is not infallable for that loss by any means, but comparative to some of the other crap that went on, he played a darn good gamecnc66 likes this. -
Henne's stats lie vs the Saints.
Henne played a great game, threw some tough balls under pressure that SHOULD HAVE been caught. The 2 interceptions are bogus too. One was Ginn's fault, and the other was on 4th and 13 while under heavy pressure. -
Henne wasn't a rookie was he?
