Henning still teaching and having an impact after all these years http://www.sun-sentinel.com/sports/...s-henning-hyde-s06170sbjun17,0,7335610.column Good read.....
Thanks Anthony, very good read. We're lucky to have Dan Henning on our staff, I hope he stays a couple more years so he can get another SB ring.
He hit his stride about the Pats game. The Wildcat gave him a breather, I think. Up until the Pats game, his gameplan and playcalling were horrible. I still remember screaming at the TV at the end of the Jets game as there were consecutive (IIRC) play action passes called when we had no time outs and, were 30+ yards away from the end zone and needed a TD. I'm glad he got it together.
I like how Hyde tells me a story. Now, that article probably wasnt much at all. Probably wasnt that much to the conversation. But, dangit if I didnt feel nostalgic about it and I don't know either of the guys. Thanks Hyde for a good read. For a minute there I thought Henning was going to hop on a stallion and ride off into the sunset.
I watched a show on the Miracle in the Meadowlands monday night game on NFLN a couple days ago, never knew it but Henning was the DC for that jester team. Hope he got that fixed, hard to get rid of jester slime. This about our coach was good insider stuff: I like the whole staff, Sparano has surrounded himself with good coaches.
