And I have ZERO problem with that. It's the constant stereotype of Jets fans being classless, abusive, etc. It's childish at best. And insulting.

It's clockwork.
The WORST game of the year at our Stadium is ALWAYS the Jets.
The most loud mouthed arrogant fans, the most provoked fights, the most things flung from upper decks, the most parking lot fights. I could go on.

If it was Dolphin fans those instances would be happening in the same numbers at all home games but they dont. The drop off of these instances for any other visiting team (besides the Eagles) is huge.

You go to any sports bar in any city and odds are the loudest, most arrogant and most taunting fans in that bar will be the group of Jet fans. Dosen't matter where you are. It was that way in Miami, it's that way in Tampa, It was that way in Dallas when I lived there, It was that way in Atlanta and it was that way in San Fran.

The one constant here is "Jet fans".

I can tell you I've watched the past 3 Jets games from busy Sports bars in Raleigh with plenty of Jets fans and not one of them were obnoxious. I actually hear louder Saints fans chanting "who dat" than anything coming from Jets fans here. They weren't happy about losing last year, but a few of them fist-bumped me and said good game afterwards.

I don't want to cause a problem here. I've gone out of my way NOT to be disruptive. I appreciate the sentiment, but just let it go. CR has it in his mind that the majority of Jets fans (i.e. over 50% of millions of fans) are douchbags. Nothing is going to change his mind. So be it.

South Fla has a lot of New Yorkers living & visiting there, so could what you're speaking of be the "New York" in them rather than the Jets in them, b/c there are probably plenty of Jets fans around the country who really don't possess that true NY attitude. The ones here in NC aren't as extreme as some of the fans you run into at the stadium. (but I can understand where you're coming from when you lash out b/c of obnoxious fans you've come across over the years).

I've been to games in Miami, New England, San Francisco and Carolina, but I've never dealt with the same level of douchebaggery I had to deal with at the Meadowlands.

I've left games there to find my car with soda or beer poured all over it because of a Dolphins bumper sticker. I've had my car actually PEED on for the same reason. I've had said bumper sticker written on with magic marker, and eventually torn off. I've had drunken asshats tell my wife to come over to them so they could "**** a REAL man". I've had OTHER drunken asshats tell her to "show her tits". I've had things thrown at me. I've never had any problems like this anywhere else.
