Just came across this. Pretty cool. I know it has nothing to do with FA or the draft but man, Harvard ? I never went to college but just the name Harvard makes one turn your head. Anyway nice the NFL offers stuff like this to the players and its great we had some take advantage of it. Hardly ever hear about stuff like this in the news when in reality this is the kind of things that really matters most in life.

Fasano can do it all. Definitely one of the more underrated players in the league.

    NEW JERSEY FTW!

Harvard is good, but a little overrated. It's actually a MUCH better post-graduate school than it is an undergraduate school.
not saying it's still not very good, but I work with a lot of Harvard graduates, and the quality varies quite a bit.

One thing I won't complain about is driving through Harvard everyday watching all the ladies jogging down the Charles River:up:

Can't wait till we hear about Richie Incognito beating up a teacher because he failed him. It's going to be great.

I'll assume the all caps part is that you now plan to buy a Fasano jersey. I refuse to believe you're crazy enough to think New Jersey the state is worth a crap.

Well like I said, having not gone to college in my book Harvard was always top shelf. Would have like to have gone to college but my parents had little to no money. If they did though I am sure I would have gone. Back in the 60s there was no financial aid to speak of and scholarships were for Rocket scientists or athletes. Army grabbed me anyway and that was kinda that. When I got home at the age of 20 felt like I was 40 and went the ol construction route. Still would have been cool to go to school at a place like Harvard or anywhere.

Well, now Harvard (as well as the other schools in the area - BC, BU and MIT) are all charging about $55-60000/year. Unless you're pretty wealthy, those schools just aren't worth it anymore.

When Harvard starts going to BCS bowl games I'll worry about who on my team went there.

Have not lived there for a long time but if I remember correctly, all the larger Parochial schools are like that in Jersey.

I think due to the economics of going to schools like yale and such they aren't quite as prestigious as they once were.that and grants.and such have allowed public universities to close the gap.

I think St Copius of Northern Nebraska has to rank at the top of all the great academic institutions. Faber College is excellent as well.

Thurston Howell III went to Harvard. He seemed to have quite a bit of disdain for anyone who went to Yale. :shifty:

The reality tv show based off characters from Jersey. He doesn't like it and they represent the state. So, he's using the show to insult the state.

Actually, I believe Harvard is a little less than $40k per year for undergrads. MIT is right at $40k. If you get good grades and are well rounded it's not impossible for poor people to attend an Ivy League school. The amount of financial aid out there nowadays is incredible. The problem, IMO, as to why more underprivileged people don't attend Ivy league schools is that they are unaware of the aid they can receive.

And anyone who thinks that getting a degree from an Ivy League school isn't worth it...well, and depending on what the degree is in, most Ivy grads will find it easier to get work after they're finished. And rightfully so. The requirements to get into an Ivy League school is typically a lot harder than most other Universities.
