What is your highlight of the season? It can be team wise, player wise or personal. Mine would be taking my son to the Jet game at Metlife. Sitting there with so many Dolphin fans was thrilling. Then to sit through 3 horrible qrts of football and to take all the abuse from jet fans, only to take the lead late and end the game on a pick!. Dancing in our seats as we wave good bye to the jet fans as they slitthered out of the stadium. Was as high and excited and optimistic I was the entire season. Sadly, there really was not much else to choose from, besides some really good stretches of improved offensive football we have not seen in a long time.

Shutting out the Chargers. It has been a long time since I saw a Miami team play that good. They were efficient on offense, and a terror on defense. They looked like a legitimate playoff team at that moment.

Beating the Patriots and Chargers were the highlights of the season IMO.I laughed at the members who claimed who thought the Pats and Tomn Brady were done after that. Now they look to be the odds on favorite to win the SB with only the Seahawks in front to stop them.

My highlight was going up 10 nothing on the Ravens and thinking we were going to be 8-5 after the Ravens went 3 and out on their first drives. My low light was losing to the Packers when I thought we had that game secure.

Most of the Denver game I wa thinking not only were we a playoff team, but that we could get in and make some noise in the AFC.

Week 11, coming off the Detroit loss which left us at 5-4 and playing the Buffalo Bills, a game some fans didn't think we'd win, and one in which Leodis McFumbles, er McKelvin, guaranteed the Bills would win with this memorable quote "Sh1t, we’re going to go out and beat that ***. Point blank. Period."
So Fins at home and both teams coming off losses. We were 5-4 and still in full control of our own destiny. In the first half, Bills CB Leodis McKelvin, who pledged his team would win in convincing fashion, left the game with an ankle injury while attempting to tackle Miller on a 2nd and 10 run play at our own 36 yard line. Leodis ended up getting juked into breaking his ankle and Miller had a 33 yard run on the play. Miller finished the game with 15 carries for 86 yards and 5.7 avg. McKelvin finished on IR.
In the second half, we scored 4 times, going 19-0 over the final 18 minutes with Landry diving into the end zone for a fourth-quarter touchdown. Tannehill finished 26/34 240 yards and 2 TDs and a 114.8 PR despite being sacked 5 times. The Defense held the Bills to 54 yards rushing and 193 yards passing.
After the game, it was announced that McKelvin had been diagnosed with a fractured ankle and would be on IR the rest of the season. When asked, Odrick said his "a$$ feels fine."
Good Win, solid all around play. Good times.

The Dayton Flyers (my alma mater) making the Elite 8 (and looking strong so far this year)...oh, you said Dolphins highlight?
Dolphins-wise my buddy and I went to the game in Detroit this year. We've been friends since 3rd grade. He's a die-hard Lions fan and threatened to make me walk home if Miami won, but it was still a good game and we had a blast. Met some other Dolphins fans at HockeyTown USA Cafe before and traded some stories over a few brews.
I guess overall, seeing Ryan Tannehill take a bigger step forward than he did last year. That's about the best I can muster given the state of the team and finishing 8-8 with Philbin NOT being fired.LI phinfan likes this. -

Definitely week 1, defeating the New Brady Bradies. I didn't think New Brady was "done" at that point, but I thought the division title might actually be a race rather than another annual Brady victory parade it has been nearly every year.
It's really cool that you got to share that moment with your son. Going to games with my dad was always really special, regardless of what happened on the field.LI phinfan likes this. -

Week 1 beatdown of New England. The blocked punt early in the game made me think this season was going to be special, and then we get a full dose of Knowshon. Next week, we lose him to injury against Buffalo and the thread unravels from there.
