    Busy week.

Rank Points (record) Team - Last week's ranking

    1 42.392 ( 13 - 0 ) Indianapolis Colts - 1
My money was on the Colts' streak ending against the Jaguars. Oh well. Only the 3rd team to ever go 14-0. Do they wait until Miami to choke?

    2 38.723 ( 13 - 0 ) New Orleans Saints - 2
A desperate Cowboys team ended the Saints quest for perfection. BTW, the Saints have the easiest schedule through 13 games. Opponents are a combined 68-101.

    3 22.929 ( 10 - 3 ) San Diego Chargers - 4
The Chargers leap frog the Vikings with an impressive 8th straight victory against the Cowboys.

    4 22.596 ( 11 - 2 ) Minnesota Vikings - 3
The Vikings rebound from their embarrassing loss to the Cardinals by embarrassing the Bengals.

    5 16.413 ( 8 - 5 ) Denver Broncos - 5
The Broncos couldn't hold off the undefeated Colts last week, but lose no ground in the standings.

    6 15.744 ( 9 - 4 ) Philadelphia Eagles - 8
The Eagles are getting hot, winning 4 in a row.

    7 15.501 ( 9 - 4 ) Green Bay Packers - 9
The Packers continue their hot streak, 5 in a row. And continue sliding up in the rankings. They are on a path to enter the playoffs as on of the top 5 teams.

    8 13.692 ( 9 - 4 ) Cincinnati Bengals - 6
Tough week for the Bengals. Does the death of Chris Henry become a worthy battle cry for the remainder of the season? First big test in San Diego today.

    9 12.699 ( 8 - 5 ) Arizona Cardinals - 7
Can't lose to teams like the 49ers at this point in the season. Especially after coming off a strong victory against the Vikings.

    10 12.085 ( 7 - 6 ) Miami Dolphins - 14
Our Miami Dolphins, who started 0-3, have moved into the top 10 for the first time all season.

    11 11.649 ( 8 - 5 ) New England Patriots - 13
    12 10.822 ( 7 - 6 ) Baltimore Ravens - 12
    13 10.742 ( 8 - 5 ) Dallas Cowboys - 10
    14 9.577 ( 7 - 6 ) New York Giants - 11
    15 9.007 ( 7 - 6 ) New York Jets - 18
    16 8.863 ( 6 - 7 ) Tennessee Titans - 15
    17 7.031 ( 6 - 7 ) Houston Texans - 20
    18 6.908 ( 7 - 6 ) Jacksonville Jaguars - 17
    19 6.684 ( 6 - 7 ) Atlanta Falcons - 19
    20 6.053 ( 6 - 7 ) San Francisco 49ers - 22
    21 5.250 ( 6 - 7 ) Pittsburgh Steelers - 16
    22 2.721 ( 5 - 8 ) Buffalo Bills - 26
    23 2.312 ( 5 - 8 ) Carolina Panthers - 24
    24 1.998 ( 5 - 8 ) Seattle Seahawks - 21
    25 1.631 ( 4 - 9 ) Oakland Raiders - 23
    26 1.336 ( 5 - 8 ) Chicago Bears - 25
    27 -0.144 ( 4 - 9 ) Washington Redskins - 28
    28 -2.979 ( 3 - 10 ) Kansas City Chiefs - 27

What has surprised me His'n is we have played one garbage team all season, it seems like every team we have played has had 3,4,5, wins.

Even the bills are 5-8, we played the Bucs when there was no scouting report on Josh Freeman and he almost beat us by literally running away from 4 sacks.

Am I reading that right? The Miami Dolphins now have the second hardest SOS through 13 games?

I would expect that number to go up as we play the Titans, Texans, and Steelers for the last 3 games of the season.

Yes. In week 14, the Dolphins first 12 opponents all won or played each other and lost. Their SOS went up from .549 to .562.

But their number will actually go down since all three are 6-7. And the Dolphins will give them all one more loss.

I think Buffalo was a garbage team when we first faced them. Then the Dolphins played like garbage in the second meeting.

Of course I hope the Bills play like anything but garbage today against the Patsies.

If this team could win 10 games with our schedule you'd have to feel pretty good about us moving forward next year. Another draft, free agent signing period, more experience for the youngsters and everyone battle tested from this year...we could make some noise this year but I think we are ready for a title run next year.
