Its not going to help anyone local, but I have confirmed with NFL Preseason live that if you do NOT live in the local markets, you will get the game tonight on the computer. I'm sure that the there also is a solution for the rest of you on here somewhere.
I don't think Orlando is Local but we aren't getting the game here. edit: Actually Brighthouse is airing the game from 12:00am-3:00am if any Orlando people want to pretend to watch it live.
I don't have one. I got on the chat for help and asked. That is the answer I got. Hope they did not lie to me.
Problem is, I'm not understanding who or what NFL preseason live is, or where it is located, is that NFLN's preseason stuff?
Two questions: 1. - How do they know that you are in a local market? Something concerning the IP address or something? (not tech savy here...) 2. - Is there a way to scramble the IP address or something so that they dont know you are in a local market?
Miami local Ch4 is showing the game delayed at 11:30PM. I'm sure NFLN will follow with a taped broadcast tomorrow sometime.
We have been posting about Preseason Live for the past month. It's the NFL.com's way of watching the games live....
http://gamepass.nfl.com/nflgp/help_en_US.htm#FROMCANADA That is for Canada, I get Game Pass every year, pretty much Sunday Ticket online with archives so you can re-watch any game, at any time. Usually I am subjected to local blackouts, but the games are then available on the archives, SHORTLY after the live game ends. However, for some reason, they say Week 4 Pre-Season will have no black outs??
Well, you can create a second email account for yourself then email the link to yourself. But the problem is, one of them, is the engine they use to show the video generally shows were you are located, when you set up your operating system it asked where you were, that is sort of a beacon for media players to allow or disallow. What is needed is "all regions" capability couped with XP anti spy which shuts down most of the preset information that is hidden underneath your operating system.
Thanks, so it is the paid service that NFL.com offers. eegads, that means a search through the UK websites for an option...yummy.
Your way over my head with all of that, ha. I assume they still have a discounted rate since the preseason is almost over. I also assume that someone somewhere is pirating a feed and someone on here knows how to get it.
(Do not the spear pointed at this dolphins' fan heart) Eh, heard it was available for 5 bucks, but still, since I generally mute the ingame announcers and listen to the radio call that is not even worth it to me.
Yes, though non US residents can obtain a similar service I believe. $19.99 was also the price before the end of week 1 of the preseason, and it has gone down $5 each week since.
1. I believe they use your IP address, yes. 2. Yes, there most certainly are ways to fake your IP address. I couldn't tell you how though as I've never done it, but I've read about people doing it. I have no clue the entry cost to a program or equipment that can do it either, I just know it can be done.
I'm honestly surprised that non-local people were worried that they'd get a blacked out game. Black out rules should only affect the local and sometimes secondary markets.
It said under their FAQ that blacked out games would be available 24hrs later with no explanation. While I do realize how normal blackout rules work, the pay package has the right to do whatever they want. Therefore, for anyone who read the same stuff as I did, I was hoping to make their day a little better.
If you live in any of these markets, the game will be blacked out on NFL Preseason Live. Above is from their page.
