i tried not to like it, but it beat me. my wife has been spamming syndicated DVR recordings of it and now i think its a good show. Jason Segel cracks me up i dont think i will ever come around to the Neil Patrick Harris character. i think the show is pretty well written. i dont typically watch broadcast network sitcoms anyone else watch it?
Been watching it for a while now. It's certainly one of my favorites behind maybe only Community, 30 Rock, and Big Bang Theory.
Since its on netflix i started watching it, im currently watching it now! great show. Love how they tie everything together... love the slaps episode. Love Segal in this! And NPH is comic gold!
it honestly took me almost 10 episodes. now im gossiping with my wife about who ted will end up with and how disappointing it is that its not Robin. lol kill myself
I really liked the 1st and 2nd season but I really think it's gone downhill pretty quickly. I still watch it but more out of habit than enjoyment. I think it's just taking way too long for Ted (who's completely unlikable as a character) to meet the mom. I get that once he meets the mother the show is essentially over but I feel like the show isn't really moving, kind of in a holding period until that happens. And I completely agree without Jason Segel or Neil Patrick Harris, the show wouldn't nearly be as good. Those two carry the show each episode.
It has its moments but I don't think it's in the same league as shows like Modern Family, Office, and Big Bang Theory.
I find Ted annoying as well. Plus it's not believable to me that somebody would describe their life in that much detail to their teenage children. Also is it normal for your voice to change into Bob Sagat's once you approach fifty?
I think the mother is the girl he randomly bumped into at the st patricks day party.. I mean why would they show that clip? It has to have some sort of purpose, unless its there to throw you off.
