How secure is your banks website?

    Be careful, this article is a little misleading. The bits and pieces it tells you to look out for are actually measures of a secure connection between you and the bank's servers. It means the data sent between you and your bank is encrypted. This has nothing to do with the information security policies of your bank.

    A green address bar (a user interface concept that is NOT universal across all web browsers) and a padlock icon will not help you in the event the bank misplaces or loses your data, or is outright hacked. (All very unlikely scenarios, by the way, but still in the realm of possibility.)

    Just a heads-up on what the article is actually talking about.
