I believe that the deal the Chiefs got for Jared Allen will increase the value of Jason Taylor. Most teams interested in JT where reluctant to give us a 2nd round pick; now after seeing what Jared Allen went for they might be willing to give up a liitle more.
I know Allen is 26 and JT is considerably older, but I still think the Allen trade will help us get better value for JT. I think one of the teams that lost out on the Allen bidding will come to us about Taylor. Those teams were the Eagles, Bucs, and the Jaguars.

Well considering J.T's age a 2nd and a 4th/5th should not be out of the question.
They will look foolish if they stick to their 3rd round ground. -
IMO for a team contending NOW a late first is acceptable. The chiefs got a mid first and a pair of 3s. A single first seems decent if its coming from a team like Philly, 21 I think.

I agree it should help us. The Vikings gave up a lot of value for Allen. JT may need to have a conversation with his potential new team just to say he's into it and not planing on leaving in July for Hollywood. Personally I do not see him leaving 15 million behind for the unknowns of show business.

Lets hope this trade can happen with any team, i would take a 2nd and a 4th in a heartbeat. The longer JT lasts on this dancing show the more likely he is to get a big head and jump careers.

Being that they are so different in age I don't think the Allen deal has any bearing at all on JTs trade value. I think that the biggest thing is whether a team like Jax thinks they have all the pieces in place, and just need a reliable end to rush the passer. If thats the case, its a no brainer for them to give a second rounder for JT. Let's see what Jax does with their first pick on Saturday. If its the kid from UF, Harvey, I think they may pass on JT. If he's gone, and I think he may be, then I think Jax might go offense in round one and be looking for JT in round two. -

For a single first rounder, no other picks, I think they might pull the trigger.
