How to:Stream games from your laptop unto your TV

padre31luxury_boxOPWEll, summer is here and this is the time to begin linning up the tech one will need to watch your streamed game on your TV:

The simplest method, a VGA Cable from your laptop to your TV, is probably the easiest and cheapest method the only issue I had was adjusting for Double Displays and setting a proper resolution on the TV as no matter how large the TV screen, it will more than likely only support 800x600 pixels on the TV.
Simply adjust for double displays, then be certain to check "extend screen" open stream on your laptop and drag the streaming window unto the TV screen.
Works like a charm.

Well the way my room is set up it will most likely be from my Desktop. Same principle though. In fact I'm going to search Newegg now for a converter box. :lol:

Have you tried that model before? I'm asking because it really does look like its worth 8 bucks.

Nope, the technology is rather simple though LS, much like an RF converter box, it simply translates one signal into a different one so don't let the price put you off.
But that is what you are looking for.
What I'm looking for is a version of Linux that allows both streaming and dual monitor auto find functions as for reasons that I'd rather not go into, my other laptops with XP on them does not have a Dual Display function.

yup I hook my tv to my desktop during the season for that reason........... plus it makes the porno all that much better to look at.
