This may be the wildest season in Dolphins history. They have the same record as the Colts in December, and have never been below .500 during this season. They are 6-1 on the road. They have a Top 5 defense and the leagues leading pass rusher. Imagine knowing all this before the season? You'd be thrilled and think they could make a Super Bowl run. However, then there is the 1-5 at home, an offense that struggles to score, some more of the familiar suspect QB position. We had that insane Steelers game where the refs took a win away[a win that now has playoff implications], and now "Tripgate," two things Dolphin fans won't soon forget, especially since both the Jets and Steelers are rivals. They have traded wins and losses for the past 9 weeks or so.

They had quite possibly the worst QB performance by a winning team in NFL history. But, a win is a win especially when it comes against the Jets. They closed the rivalry at Giants Stadium with a win and opened it at New Meadowlands with a win, so that is a great thing.

Where will the team go from here? Will they lose another home game, or will they finally go on a winning streak and end the season with a bang and get some home wins for a crowd that deserves it? If the Texans pull out a win tonight, that will surely bring up people's playoff hopes with the Saints going to Baltimore next week, who will be fighting to still take the division from the Falcons.

The Dolphins franchise has only had back to back losing seasons once since the AFL-NFL 1970 merger (2006 and 2007), so that's also important for us to get a winning season, go out on a high note, and hope for a miracle playoff appearance.

Good post. The way this season is going we are due to lose next week, then beat the lions, and lose to new england. On the other hand they could win all three games because the pats will have clinched home field and should sit most of the starters.
Who knows maybe by the will of the football gods we sneek into the playoffs like the jets last year but I don't see us being that lucky.

We could get a cheap win over the Patriots if they rest their starters in the 2nd half. IF they beat the Bills, then maybe they finish 9-7 or 10-6 with a cheap 10th win over the Patriots.

The thing that mainly concerns me is Henne's rapid regression, the same concerns we've had since 2000. He actually took away points yesterday with that fumble. That was a game where I was happy to see the wildcat, and was calling for it when we were in FG range before Henne's fumble/botched snap.

Wouldn't be surprised if we won or lost any of them...Henne given Sunday.

If the trend holds up, 8-8. But we almost always split with New England. If that holds true, I could see us losing to Buffalo and then winning our last two to go 9-7. That would be enough of an improvement for Sparano to keep his job, but he damn well better get rid of Dan Henning.

They should win the last three and finish 10-6. But we know they will play down to their next two opponents. They've got an OK postseason shot if they win 10. Especially since the Jets may very well not win another game this season.
