I DO... (insert angry face) You took my title away 2 years ago as the best 'non-Fin Fan' poster of the year award!
Now why would I wanna change anything? Seriously though......and only briefly cuz I gotta run....... 1) I wouldn't change coaching staff or FO: they deserve more than 1 yr. Continuity is important 2) Zach: 3) Trade Jason Taylor for draft choices 4) Trade down in the draft. It's almost a certainty that y'all will be #1 overall........if a team wants that pick, move down and add extra picks to help with rebuilding process. 5) Do NOT use free agency too much. Sign a couple of UFA's and then use the draft to rebuild I can get more later....gotta fly
Good to hear from you clumpy. I'm sure you're in a good mood lately. It seems like the Dolphins will be in pretty good cap shape. Because of that I disagree with #5 on your list a little bit. While I don't think they should go crazy in FA, there could be some good players at key positions for Miami. There are some very good corners set to be FA's and I think Miami needs to land one of them. I also think they need to go after one of the defensive linemen that could be available. A middle tier WR would be a big help as well like a Crayton, Berrian, or Stallworth. Other than that you make some pretty good points.........for a Bills fan.
Clump and LT....two of my favorite non fin fans....glad to see you guys back around here. Your opinions and veiws are always welcome....and I look forward to seeing you around more. LT...whens your team gonna get their head out of their arses, play the way they are capable of playing...somebody's got to stop the Patriot juggernaut. God..I am soooooo sick of the Patriots. I hate them beyond hate. I hate them worse than I hate the Yankees....and Im a HUGE Sox fan... Ole Bill should choke on a bowl of clam chowda.....
Hey, Clumpy. Glad to see you joined us, again. Do enjoy your cap page and you are one of my favorite Bills fan.
Hey Clumpy this will make you feel good inside. My youngest brother has a birthday Saturday. He is a huge Bills fan, he took it easy on me Sunday. I ordered him a Bills Sweatshirt today.
Hey Clumpster! I just got in. I guess it's still gonna be a while before Finheaven is officially resurrected. If we only get one win this year it has to be against the Pats. of course, after going down hard to both the Jets and Bills in the past 2 weeks, I don't hold out much hope that we'll win anything this year. My only hope is that we figure this stuff out in the off-season and come back strong next year like the Cowboys did oh so long ago after their 1-15 season. Greetings to everyone else out there in Temporary Finheaven land. I'm shocked to see there's no Brit thread yet. LOL
Problem is, where is our Hershel Walker???? Without that one... I doubt we are changing it alla Cowboys.
I agree. I think at this point, Miami has so many weaknesses, they have to prepare for wholesale personnel changes. Jason Taylor is a great player, but he's not enough to turn the franchise around by himself. Moreover it is going to take a few years to get things straightened around. I think by the time Miami is ready to really become a force again in the AFC East, Taylor would be into the twilight of his career. Thus, I think his greatest value is as trade bait. Miami might also consider trading other aging veterans who still might have some value. Then trade down in the draft and draft great athletes who have some character and intelligence. It'll take some time so you've got to be patient, but things will come around. If you do sign FAs, give preference to signing young guys with athleticism, who may not have done a great deal yet, but might be on the cusp of breaking out. These might be promising players finishing up their rookie contracts but have been buried on their old team's depth charts. When they stepped in the lineup because of short term injuries they performed well, and they've done well on special teams. You don't want to spend big bucks on aging veterans who are passt their prime.
1. Ew, if we go 0-16, no coach deserves to stay on for that achievement. 1st year coaches have been fired for lesser crimes. 2. Can Zach continue to restructure his contract? I wouldn't be opposed to keeping a team leader and decent LB around to tutor a young guy. 3. Ew, unless we're blatantly ripping someone off (i.e. a 1st rounder + more). 4. I like that but it's easier said than done. 5. I can be ok with that but one of the FA's has to be a veteran QB and veteran CB.
